2020 Scholarships

The Malvern Community Arts Council invites applications for two scholarships of $1500.00 to be awarded to deserving applicants in any arts discipline.

Applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of New Zealand who can demonstrate a relationship with the Malvern District. (for example: A student who is studying away from home, but whose family home is within the Malvern District, would meet this requirement.)

Applicants must have reached their 17th birthday but not passed their 26th birthday in 2020.

Applications will be judged on their merit. Applicants should submit a CV that details their training and experience, current activity in the arts, awards and achievements related to the arts, plans for the future, and wider community involvement.

The names and contact details of two referees must be provided with an application. An interview or audition may be required during late August or early September. Visual artists should be prepared to submit examples of their work.

Applications must be received by
Friday, 21 August 2020.

The Malvern Community Arts Council’s Scholarship Committee will choose the winners of the scholarships, and may use the expertise of external adjudicators to make their decision. It is expected that applicants will be advised of the results by 21 September 2020.
